Federal Sales Director

About The Position

The Federal Sales Director will be leading the sales to the federal government. Responsible for sales working in partnership with our reseller and distribution partners across Windward offerings to new and existing customers, across multiple agencies

In addition to quickly establishing strong customer relationships and understanding our customer’s businesses, we expect the Federal Sales Director to build effective relationships internally with R&D, marketing, product, etc. so our customers’ expectations are routinely exceeded.

We are looking for an entrepreneurial person with a strong growth mindset and the capabilities to develop in the company to further leadership roles. 

Requirements

  • At least 5 years’ experience in selling to the  US Federal market 
  • More than 3 years’ experience in a sales management position within the technology industry
  • Active US Security clearance or eligibility and willingness to obtain a US Security clearance – advantage
  • Strong track record of large-scale sales to government institutions required 
  • Technical acumen with the ability to relate it with business value
  • Excellent forecasting, prospecting, qualifying, closing skills and ability to build strong partner relationships
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent job experience
  • Must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a full time basis
  • Experience working for Global companies – advantage. 

Location – at least 2 days a week – Washington DC.
