As we continue to expand our global presence, we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Head of APAC Sales to lead our efforts in the Asia-Pacific region.

Role Overview

As the Head of APAC Sales, you will be responsible for building, growing, and maintaining strong relationships with customers across the APAC region. You will play a pivotal role in meeting and exceeding regional sales targets, representing Windward’s full range of offerings across various sectors, including trading, shipping, financial institutions, supply chain, and other relevant verticals. In this role, you will report directly to the VP of Global Sales and as an individual contributor while aligning the daily operations of the local team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Targets: Achieve personal sales targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in the region
  • Leadership & Direction: Provide strategic leadership and direction across the APAC region, ensuring maximum client engagement and the development of deep, long-lasting relationships.
  • Customer Insight: Gain a thorough understanding of customers’ operations, workflows, and unmet needs to deliver tailored solutions.
  • Penetration Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive penetration strategies to acquire new customers and expand opportunities with existing clients.
  • Opportunity Exploration: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, collaborating closely with solution experts to address unmet customer needs with customized solutions.
  • Priority Resolution: Assess and resolve internal priorities to ensure alignment with regional goals and customer satisfaction.
  • Resource Management: Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure regional performance objectives and customer expectations are met.
  • Strategic Planning: Lead regional planning processes, defining critical milestones for short- and long-term success.
  • Market Engagement: Actively participate in webinars, virtual events, and in-person industry conferences to stay informed about market trends and the broader ecosystem.

Requirements

  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 3+ years of sales experience with a focus on large enterprise portfolios.
  • Proven track record in selling SaaS solutions to the maritime industry within the APAC region, Experience in a regional sales leadership role for a global enterprise, managing and working with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in building or leading a region – big plus 
  • Skills:
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and lead regional sales strategies and build strong client relationships.
  • A curious, entrepreneurial mindset with a drive for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Passions for technology, products , and strong self learning capability 
  • Cultural Fit:
  • Experience in a technology-driven company culture.
  • Proven success in a multicultural environment, adapting to diverse cultural norms and business practices.
  • Mobility:
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the APAC region, as well as to the UK and other global locations as required.
  • Must be willing to spend the first three months in the UK for onboarding and training before assuming the regional role.
