Ocean Freight Visibility Growth Director


About The Position

Ocean Freight Visibility is a new vertical for Windward which is initially targeted at the freight forwarder market in Europe. The role will be based in London.

We are looking for a new role of Growth Director who will report to the VP Commercial/ Growth. This is a key hire who will work closely with the Product Management and Sales teams to deliver a continuously optimised customer experience over time.

This role would suit someone who is or has been in a business development or senior sales role and/or have worked in an innovation role for a freight forwarder. 

The core of this role is identifying and securing ongoing revenue growth.

Role outline:

  • Build a practical growth strategy plan – TAM analysis, persona mapping, most efficient channels to market, regularly analyze product growth metrics and optimise growth strategy, optimising the 4 growth levers – leads/conversion rate/average order value/number of transactions per customer.
  • Project Management – Instigate and lead innovation projects with customers and co-ordinate internal cross functional teams to deliver results to drive new revenue opportunities.
  • Business Development – Work closely with the Product Management team to win the early customers and consistently help build out the core offering and additional new sources of revenue.
  • Analytics & Data Visualisation – work with Revenue Operations to build insights and optimise what is working/needs work to build repeatable success and growth.
  • Engagement & Retention – optimise Lifetime Value LTV of customers/decrease churn
  • Customer Onboarding – full life cycle customer experience (CX) is a key success factor – set up an automated user onboarding journey – reduce friction from the sign-up, trial, purchase, usage process with the relevant teams.
  • Represent OFV at customer facing events and build our presence with support from Marketing, Product Management, Sales.
  • Key contributor to Marketing as in house expert on the customer, the market.
  • Key partner to the Enterprise OFV Sales team and the SME OFV Inside Sales Team.
