About The Position

Position Overview

As Head of Forward Deployed AI Solutions, you will be both the technical expert in the sales cycle and our AI thought leader, serving as the public face of our AI technology for the Maritime industry. You’ll drive adoption through direct sales engagement while also building our market presence through thought leadership, speaking engagements, and technical content creation. This role combines hands-on technical sales with technology evangelism to establish our position as an AI industry leader. This will involve high velocity, world class execution involving extremely fast learning and execution cycles.

This role will manage a team of Forward Deployed Engineers. 

The position reports to the CEO. 

Location: Tel-Aviv, Israel OR London, UK. 

Key Responsibilities 

Forward Deployment Team Management

  • Manage a global team of Forward Deployed Engineers 
  • Create and monitor group KPI’s and work processes 

Sales & Technical Advisory

  • Serve as the Business Consultant to our Strategic Accounts for AI Solutions
  • Partner with sales teams to drive technical discovery and solution design for prospects
  • Take part in technical proof of concept (POC) implementations during sales cycles
  • Create compelling technical demonstrations and presentations for prospects
  • Provide detailed technical responses to RFPs and security questionnaires
  • Develop solution architectures and implementation plans that address prospect needs
  • Guide prospects through technical evaluation and validation processes

Solution Design & Implementation

  • Build end-to-end solution design and implementation processes, addressing prospects’ challenges around data integration, system reliability, and compliance requirements
  • Operate as a technical leader during sales cycles, balancing technical feasibility with business requirements
  • Create custom workflows and integrations to demonstrate value during sales processes
  • Design and document solution architectures that scale from POC to production

Client Engagement & Consultation

  • Work directly with prospect stakeholders from C-level to end-users to understand requirements
  • Lead technical discovery sessions and architectural discussions
  • Build trusted advisor relationships with technical decision makers
  • Provide expert consultation on integration approaches and best practices
  • Help prospects envision and plan their AI transformation journey

Thought Leadership & Evangelism

  • Serve as the company’s AI technology evangelist at industry conferences and events
  • Create compelling technical content including blog posts, whitepapers, and articles
  • Build and maintain relationships with AI community leaders and influencers
  • Lead webinars and technical workshops to showcase our AI capabilities
  • Contribute to technical publications and industry journals
  • Develop and share best practices and implementation patterns
  • Build the company’s reputation as an AI technology leader
  • Engage with the broader AI community through social media and professional networks

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with sales, Business Services, Product and R&D teams to develop technical strategies for complex deals
  • Partner with product teams to communicate market needs and influence roadmap
  • Collaborate with customer success and Services to ensure smooth handoff after sale
  • Support Solution Expert Managers (sales engineers) and account executives with technical expertise
  • Work closely with the marketing team as a thought leader and evangelist 

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
  • Experience with AI/ML platforms and solutions
  • Knowledge of enterprise AI adoption challenges and solutions
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Understanding of data privacy and security requirements
  • Experience with POC design and execution
  • Background in consulting or solutions architecture
  • Enterprise software sales experience
  • 5+ years of experience in technical sales engineering or customer-facing technical roles
  • 3+ Years experience in Project management, Program management or alike leading matrix teams. 
  • 3+ years experience managing a team of engineers. 
  • Experience presenting technical solutions to senior stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of enterprise software integration patterns
  • Experience in using or deploying Palantir AIP or other relevant products at customers’ sites  – Huge Advantage
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts
  • Experience leading technical discovery and solution design
  • Track record of closing complex technical sales
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% for client engagements

Technical Skills

  • AI/ML Platforms: Understanding of LLMs, ML deployment, and AI infrastructure
  • Cloud Platforms: AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Integration: REST APIs, data pipelines, enterprise systems
  • Programming: Python, SQL
  • Strong programming skills in Python and understanding of AI/ML concepts
  • Business Tools: CRM systems, presentation software
  • Security & Compliance: Data privacy, enterprise security
