About The Position

Windward, the leading Maritime AI™ company, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Maritime Intelligence Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in maritime security/ risk, geopolitical analysis, and strategic intelligence to lead the conversation and provide comprehensive insights into global maritime operations, threats, and trends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of maritime security challenges, including emerging threats, sanctions evasion, and international maritime law
  • Develop sophisticated maritime domain awareness reports, briefings, and strategic recommendations for government agencies, private sector customers, and international organizations.
  • Utilize geospatial intelligence and maritime tracking tools to identify and monitor suspicious vessel behavior.
  • Research and investigate complex maritime security issues, including resource-related crimes and international maritime law violations.
  • Monitor and analyze global shipping trends, commodity flows, and geopolitical developments impacting the maritime domain.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, contributing to industry reports, media interviews, webinars, and conferences.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to enhance Windward’s maritime intelligence solutions.


Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Passionate for maritime intelligence and security
  • Fast learner with strong analytical skills
  • Hands on approach and experience with relevant maritime and OSINT tools
  • Skilled and passionate about public writing and social media 
  • Advanced degree (Masters or above) in International Relations, Maritime Studies, Political Science, or related field
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in maritime intelligence, security analysis, or related domains
  • Proven track record of conducting complex geopolitical and maritime security research
  • Strong understanding of international maritime law, global shipping markets, and security challenges
  • Exceptional analytical and research skills with the ability to synthesize complex information
  • Demonstrated expertise in geospatial intelligence and maritime domain awareness technologies
  • Experience with data analysis, intelligence software, and reporting tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Team player with a collaborative mindset

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with government agencies, international organizations, or defense sectors
  • Published research or investigations in maritime security
  • Background in interdisciplinary maritime studies, including economic, legal, and security perspectives

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in geospatial intelligence tools
  • Data analysis and visualization software
  • Advanced research methodologies
  • Familiarity with maritime tracking and intelligence platforms
