The Houthi disruptions are being felt around the world and are hampering global ports.  Transit times have continued to rise dramatically, as vessels avoid the Red Sea.

Barcelona experienced a 15% annual increase in TEU capacity berthing, with additional calls added for Eastern Mediterranean transshipments.

Prices have also continued to increase, with no end in sight. China to North America’s West Coast rose from $4,099 on January 26, to $4,890 on February 23 (numbers from Freightos).
